
What is an AGV?
The AGV is a mobile robot that follows predetermined instructions or signals to move around and perform tasks (such as picking up or dropping materials) autonomously.
Differences between AGVs and AMRs
Many people would say that there’s no difference between them, but in fact, there is one. While AGVs stop and start when they detect a human presence, AMRs have obstacle avoidance capabilities; they don’t stop, but instead try to find another way to reach their destination.

They can also move multiple trolleys at once, providing high throughput. Despite their weight, they are highly versatile and can be deployed in a wide range of sectors, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
